Thai canned tuna exports totalled 485 416 MT worth Baht 521.1 billion (US$1.53 billion) in 2009, down4.1% in quantity and 酒店打工19.3% in value against the previous year. Sharp drops in exports to Australia (-17.1% in quantity), theUAE (-38.0%), Saudi Arabia (-14.2%) and Germany (-47.3%) contributed to the overall decline in 2009. 吳哥窟Meanwhile, exportsto the US, the largest market, increased significantly last year by 19.4% in quantity, but 2.3% lower in value amounting to112 712 MT worth Baht 12.2 billion (US$360 million). The UK, France, 裝潢Egypt and Canada also imported more canned tunafrom Thailand last year, up 7.4%, 50.8%, 15.0% and 9.6% in quantity respectively compared to 2008.
